The Online Store

The idea of creating a Store project began in the summer of 2023, during the premiere of The Lord of the Rings collection.

3 reasons:

• Jordi Wild had already informed me that my job as a news scriptwriter for The Wild Project was going to end soon, since he had planned to stop doing the weekly Gatherings (they lasted 6-8 more months), and I would have much more free time
• The coincidence that the father of a close friend was retiring and transfering his Comic Book Store, where he also sold Magic: The Gathering and where, in 1997, more than 25 years ago, I had bought my first Magic product (a Fifth Edition starter deck), made me consider a new project, which in the end I discarded as a physical store
• The Lord of the Rings collection filled me with disappointment with several large stores in Spain, with thousands of sales and likes on Cardmarket, after reserving and paying for several boxes in Pre-Sale on their websites and cardmarket, and having them cancelled due to lack of stock. We already know how much the prices went up later if you wanted to buy them... I though, is it a problem of Wizards of the Coast and the distributors, or does the professionalism of the sector and the greed to make the most money from the stores exceed what is justifiable and ethical?
